DONT FORGET - Beyond the Wire premieres this coming Monday @ 7pm Irish time on FLIRT FM 101.3. We're also hoping that the station will have its web streaming back up by then so people from outside Connaught can tune in on FlirtFM.ie ...

Both Stiff Little Fingers (Jake) and the Undertones (Mickey) were invited to take part in the show when it was originally conceived. The Stiffs turned us down citing touring commitments. Mickey Bradley more than generously offered to be interviewed and provided some valuable advice. We decided not to interview Mickey after we made the decision concentrate on the Belfast scene rather that Northern Ireland as a whole. This decision was based purely, and solely, on time constrains, and felt we could not do the Derry scene justice by shoehorning it in with Belfast.

Folks, it is with great pleasure that we announce the completion of the radio documentary - Punk: Beyond the Wire - the story of Belfast punk in the 1970s & 80s.

We're working now on its premiere date, which has been complicated slightly by Flirt FM's move to new premises at the end of next week. But stay tuned, we'll be sure to give u a heads up on when/where u can hear it first.
