Orbiting the Moon

Orbiting the Moon is a 15.2h, 2016 mare retiring sound. This young lady was just too slow to be a racehorse...that's our kind of gal! She is by Kentucky Derby winner, Orb. Full of potential, we think Orbiting the Moon is certainly worth looking at. Meet her at New Vocations in PA. (Posted 2020)

The Facility
Elysium

Elysium has been through the ringer physically but she is one tough, kind lady. This solidly built, 15.2h+ girl had surgery to fix a slab fracture and also has arthritis. When she was finally finished stall rest the other day and able to be turned out in a very small paddock, she promptly escaped and climbed a mountain of millings. There is a picture of her looking majestic up there surveying the landscape to prove it. We are not sure of her prognosis for riding at this time. We are hoping someone will fall in love with her and her lust for life and give her a home as a companion pasture ornament. Contact MidAtlantic Horse Rescue for more information. (Posted June 2020)

This filly is a total sweetheart that is looking for her forever home. She is a fantastic beauty that has a cyst in her ankle that will not benefit from surgery and will keep her from doing any strenuous work. Indy Breeze

Indy Breeze is a pretty warhorse having run 63 times. She is a petite gal with a nice build. Unfortunately, she did sustain a fractured sesamoid. We are not sure about her prognosis for riding. She will be pasture sound and will be re-evaluated in a few more months to see is she will be capable of light riding. Please keep her on your radar. We think she is certainly worth having even if it is just as a pet...the vet made the note on her intake form, "sweet filly, great disposition." We agree. Meet her in person at the Foxie G Foundation. (Posted July 2018)

The Facility
Another Badge

This absolutely beautiful 4 year old filly is a true fighter. About a year ago, she had an infection that she almost died from. Her caring owner and trainer did everything thing they could to save her. After a lot of veterinary attention and time to recover on a farm, she is now completely healthy and energetic. The infection left some scar tissue in her hock that may be limiting, but the vet feels that riding her may actually be good for her. She was recently being jogged at the track and is sound, but the trainer felt it best to retire her from the demands of racing. Another Badge won a race in Canada and two here in Maryland...she's experienced a lot. We believe her best fit might be as a pleasure horse for an intermediate rider. If you respect tough ladies like Another Badge, and you are an experienced rider, she may be a rewarding partner for you! (Posted in November)
