Pearl’s Love

Pearl's Love is retiring completely sound from racing. She had a tendon injury in the past that has had plenty of time to heal and she has no apparent limitations. This compact fireball stands 15.1+ and has a very balanced build. She also has two stars on her head...yet another indication of how special she is! Audacious Say Eye

Audacious Say Eye is somewhat of a diamond in the rough right now. This decent sized guy is at least 16.1...possibly a little taller. He was claimed for $25,000, so someone knew he had athletic ability ability. Unfortunately, he bowed a tendon in training and only ever ran twice. He is currently on stall rest and will not be able to be ridden for at least 8-9 months. He will be reevaluated to see if he has any limitations at that time. Keep him on your radar...he is going to be a big, handsome guy! (Posted March 2018)

Chef Karen

Chef Karen's responsible owner recognized that she was not the most competitive racehorse, so he retired her while she was sound and healthy. Augie’s Coming

Augie's Coming is a completely sound 6 year old gelding by Looking at Lucky. We think you just may be looking at lucky! This guy just wasn't into racing so his owners wanted to let him go onto a second career. The sky is the limit with this one! Check him out at New Vocations in PA. (Posted February 2018)

Smoke City

We think Smoke City is a total smoke show! This solidly built lady was sent to the Hagyard Clinic in KY to have a chip removed from her knee. Her prognosis for a second career is excellent after surgery. She will need some time off, but check her out at New Vocations in KY...she's going to make somebody a very willing and athletic partner. Freudian Zip

This handsome fella was shipped to KY recently to have a chip taken out of his knee at the Hagyard Clinic. He is a sweet 3 year old that will need some time off. Freudian Zip, by City Zip, will be located at New Vocations in Kentucky. He's worth the trip to see! (Posted February 2018)

This solidly built gentleman is ready to do whatever interests you. He is a roarer (laryngeal hemiplegia) but that shouldn't slow him down for anything other than the most strenuous activities. Wild Poison

This 4 yr old gelding is an absolute sweetheart! He had chips removed from his knee and will be ready to go in a few months. Kind and calm are two words that definitely describe him, so if that is your idea of a great horse, go check him out. He is a little beat up in this picture as he is the low man on the totem pole at the farm where he has been turned out. Per the trainer of the eye catching Eye Catcher, this guy is a steady Eddie. He had some inflammation in his pastern and is having some time off for that to heal. Circle R is a big, handsome 3 yr old gelding. This gentleman had surgery to remove chips from his knees and is near the end of his recovery time now. He may not be able to perform at the highest levels of various disciplines because of the old injuries, but he will come close. If you are looking for a striking looking partner to show off in the ring or elsewhere, you may find that Circle R is the one! (Posted February 2018)

Freedom Child/Danzing Celtic

This young lady does not have a name yet...she is a sweet blank canvas. She never ran as she has bone spurs in one knee. She will get 30-45 days off and then will be suitable for absolutely any discipline outside of racing. If you want a fantastic 3 year old to bring along, check this cutie out! (Posted February 2018)

Cantate Domino

Cantate Domino is a lovely 5 year old mare. Her owner paid $50,000 for her and really hoped this well built lady would turn out to be a great racehorse. Unfortunately for him, speed wasn't her thing. She is retiring completely sound and is looking for her next career. She has screws in her left hind (white) ankle from 2-3 years ago when she had an old injury repaired, but that does not cause her any limitations. She has some skin disease on her back in this picture which should be cleared up soon. (Posted February 2018)

Make It Right

Make It Right is very good looking gelding that has just turned 3 years old. This sweet guy only raced 3 times having run in both Canada and here in Maryland. He recently had surgery for an injury and will need months of recovery time. Luckily, his owner/trainer was quick to get him care as soon as he realized there was an issue which helped minimize permanent damage. Keep this guy on your radar. When he's ready to go, he is going to make his human partner one lucky person! (posted January 2018)

Celtic Ruler is a kind 4 year old gelding that never won a race..he was just too slow. He is retiring completely sound and is ready to do whatever interests you. He is currently located at Akindale Thoroughbred Rescue in New York but may eventually move to their South Carolina location. You'd be lucky to have this guy! (Posted January 2018)

Sky Above

Sky Above is an absolutely cool dude. He is very friendly and quirky with a lovely build. His trainer put his arm near Sky's mouth and said, "look...he'll chew on my arm." And he does. He does not bite or hurt, he just likes to be close to the ones he loves. This guy has some old issues in his knee and will be limited to being a pleasure, walk/trot horse, but he definitely has the personality to go with it. He is also 9 years old which is a great, sensible age! Located in New York. (Posted January 2018)

Crush Davis

Crush Davis is a sweetheart of a 3 yr. old gelding. He injured both front tendons and is completely finished stall rest and has already been turned out for a few months. This lovely guy will continue to be turned out for the rest of the winter and then no limitations are anticipated outside of racing. He is a good looking guy, though it's hard to tell just how good looking from this picture...we didn't want to keep him out of his stall long. He is currently located at Akindale Thoroughbred Rescue in New York, but may head to their southern location when he starts to be ridden. Check back for updates on this great guy! Dr Goldfarb

Dr Goldfarb is an extremely sweet 8 yr old gelding. He's very cute too, but our dark picture doesn't do him justice. This been-there-done-that guy has raced in Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland. Due to a knee and tendon injury, Dr Goldfarb will have 9 mos. to a year off. He will be suitable to be a fantastic trail horse and he's got the low key personality to match the job. Look for him at Life Horse in Thurmont, MD. (Posted December 2017)

Cherokee Jam is a feisty, athletic 2015 filly. This attractive young lady currently has a bone bruise in her knee and will be having a little R&R for a few months. Turbo Booster

Turbo Booster is 3 year old gelding that was lightly raced and won one race. He is currently recovering from having chips removed from his knees and will be available in a few months. No limitations are expected outside of racing. This boy is an absolute sweetheart and his picture does not do him justice...he has a pretty solid build and a nice blaze. Another Badge

This absolutely beautiful 4 year old filly is a true fighter. About a year ago, she had an infection that she almost died from. Her caring owner and trainer did everything thing they could to save her. After a lot of veterinary attention and time to recover on a farm, she is now completely healthy and energetic. The infection left some scar tissue in her hock that may be limiting, but the vet feels that riding her may actually be good for her. She was recently being jogged at the track and is sound, but the trainer felt it best to retire her from the demands of racing. Another Badge won a race in Canada and two here in Maryland...she's experienced a lot. We believe her best fit might be as a pleasure horse for an intermediate rider. If you respect tough ladies like Another Badge, and you are an experienced rider, she may be a rewarding partner for you! (Posted in November)

Victory’s Secret

Victory's Secret is looking for someone special. She is obviously beautiful, definitely sweet and positively loves treats. The fantastic 5 year old has been through a lot. She has issues in one of her ankles and her prognosis is not certain...she will be resting for a few months. Hideaway is a lovely filly with a super sweet personality. Her trainer thinks she would make a good polo pony (horse) but we can see her doing just about anything. This girl loves peppermints, so if you are a treat-giving equestrian that likes a horse that enjoys your attention, this might be your perfect match! (Posted September 2017)

Buzz Lite is a barn favorite! Loved by his exercise riders and grooms alike, this guy just wants to be a pet. He is 4 years old and about 15.3h. "Buzz" will have a few months off before going back to work, and no limitations are anticipated at this time. This pretty lady is very lovable! Everyone that interacts with her thinks she's a real sweetheart. The bay beauty is about 16h and was bred right here in Maryland. Now available! This filly is very lightly raced having only run 3 times. She just isn't cut out to be a racehorse, but with her athleticism, nice personality and good looks, she is certainly cut out for something great!
