Art of Listening is a fantastic 2015 gelding by Artie Schiller. This 16h guy simply hated racing and life at the track. His owner and trainer saw his lack of enthusiasm and knew he needed a career change. Artie is completely sound and ready to roll. Tiz A Deal is a big, beautiful gal standing a good 16.2h. She is 2015 model. After sustaining a crack in her shin, Tiz A Deal has retired from racing. She is expected to recover completely and have no limitations. We would say she is definitely worth the wait but see for yourself at the Foxie G Foundation. (Posted December 2018)

Never Gone South

This horse...he is it. Never Gone South is a 2013, 16h+ Graded Stakes Placed and a Multiple Stakes Winner by Munnings. Need we say more? His career ended when he sustained a LF condylar fracture which was repaired. If you are not familiar with the injury, please do some research...he is completely sound and has no limitations. He is as good as new. This guy has a great personality, a super work ethic and is good looking. Check this class act out at After the Races. (Posted December 2018)

Devil’s Passion

Devil's Passion is a 20 year old gelding...that's right...20! He was a pony horse and no one quite knew how old he was. With a little research, we found out that this fit, young looking guy is actually 20. He is not available for adoption but we wanted people to enjoy another success story. This guy is going to be semi-retired and will help out a bit in a therapy program at TAA accredited Brook Hill Farm in VA. He is sound, but it's time for him to enjoy the good life and work less. We wish him the best and are going to be keeping tabs on him! (Posted December 2018)

Looking Ready is a sound, good looking 3 soon to be 4 year old gelding. He retired because his racing performance was not spectacular but we think he may well be spectacular at other disciplines. Our Wild Wives is a favorite of everyone she meets. She currently stands 15.2h and is still growing as she is only 2 going on 3 years old. A fracture in her foot put an end to her short racing career. She is currently recovering and is sound which is a great sign! Though this sweet beauty may not have a future as an upper level jumper, she still has a lot to offer as a riding partner. The great people at After the Races would be happy to introduce you. Waterhaven

Waterhaven is a 16h+ gelding that is waiting to start his new life with a deserving person. He only ran 6 times and hit the board 4 of those times which proves his great work ethic. He did develop chips in his knees which were removed. His prognosis is good and no hard limitations are anticipated. This guy is 4 years and will be ready for you to check out in a few months. Who Broke the Bank is a big, handsome fella by Fresian Fire. He is a 2014 model and has a lot to offer. Unfortunately, this gentleman sustained tendon injuries that he is currently recovering from. He may have some minor limitations upon recovery but he should be suitable for most work. He is kind and is deserving, as are all horses, of a great person and a great second career. Jeremiah John

Jeremiah John is a 2014 handsome gelding. You can tell he has a great build but what you can't tell is that he has eye-catching white markings on his face. He is having a few months off for a tendon injury and having a chip removed from his ankle. He should recover with almost no limitations. At 16.2h with athletic ability and the perfect age of 4 years old, this sweetheart is a blank canvas waiting to move forward with the right buddy. Go meet him at New Vocations in PA. Out of Juice is a beautiful 2014 fill by Street Magician. She stands at about 15.3h+ and has a lovely in your pocket personality. Pardontori'sfrench was much loved by her racing connections and received great care during her career. Unfortunately in her last race, she bowed a tendon. She has already had a little bit of time off and seems to be healing quickly. She will be ready to be turned out in a couple of months and will then go back to work. Our Turn is an absolute sweetheart of a guy. He is a 3 year old gelding that stands close to 16h. Our Turn has had surgery twice to remove chips from the same knee and because of that, he will need a job that involves light riding. Luckily, he has the personality for a low key job. Springmoor is a 3 year old filly that only ran once. She does have a tendon injury and will need months to recover. After recovery, no hard limitations are anticipated. Royalty For One is a dark bay 10 year old sweet mare. She was given time off on a farm just to be a horse and she has been put under tack again. Her trainer believes she is ready for a new life and career with a person of her own. Her trainer said that "she will be a nice little horse for a serious rider". El Guerrero Azteca

El Guerrero Azteca is a big, sweet colt. He had a serious case of "seconditis" running 21 times and never winning, though he was second nine times. This 3 year old gentleman has a "cracked shin" which has been evaluated by a vet. He will need a few months off to let it heal, but no limitations are anticipated after recovery. So quiet is a handsome 5 year old gelding by Outflanker. This sweet and solid boy is 16h and a lovely mover. So quiet has recovered from a sesamoid fracture and is completely sound. Aquamarina is a beautiful, sensible 4 year old mare that was imported from England. She just did not want to be a racehorse and is retiring sound. Aly's Lion is a fantastic 4 year old gelding. He had surgery to remove a chip from his knee and is expected to have no limitations upon recovery. The veterinarian who performed surgery on him said, "someone has to do something with him...event him or something...he'll be perfect!" Aly has a very sweet personality and is 16h plus. Little Big Lou

Little Big Lou is the sweetest 3 year old colt you will ever meet! He had surgery on his knees to remove chips and even the surgeon said "he stole our hearts." You will not meet a kinder, more gentle, snuggler than this 17h gentlemen. "Lou" will most likely be limited to flat work but he has a personality and demeanor that is well suited to dressage and pleasure and trail riding. Set of J's is a lovely 2011 model gelding. He he is an affable lad and will make a fantastic pleasure/trail horse. Legendary King is a great guy that we think will settle right into retirement. He is 10 year old gelding and has a been-there-done-that demeanor. Unfortunately, he has a bowed tendon that has bowed before. He will need a good six months off until he can be ridden, but this guy is worth his weight in gold. This filly is a total sweetheart that is looking for her forever home. She is a fantastic beauty that has a cyst in her ankle that will not benefit from surgery and will keep her from doing any strenuous work. Race and Shine is a sound 7 year old mare that is ready to retire. She just has not made any money in awhile and her trainer knew her heart wasn't in it. She is a sizable 16.2h and is as sweet as she is big. Indy Breeze is a pretty warhorse having run 63 times. She is a petite gal with a nice build. Unfortunately, she did sustain a fractured sesamoid. We are not sure about her prognosis for riding. She will be pasture sound and will be re-evaluated in a few more months to see is she will be capable of light riding. Please keep her on your radar. We think she is certainly worth having even if it is just as a pet...the vet made the note on her intake form, "sweet filly, great disposition." We agree. Best Way is going to make someone a superb equine partner! This 3 year old gelding is 16h and growing and is just an all around solid citizen. As you can see, he is good looking too. Best Way bowed a tendon in training and only raced 3 times. He will have about 6 months off and no limitations are anticipated after recovery. Wild Dreams is a workhorse. He won 6 out of 13 starts and was second in 2 starts. He also happens to be a total sweetheart. This 5 year old gelding did just have chips removed from one knee and may have some minor limitations...no upper level eventing or similarly taxing disciplines. We know you will find that his personality and work ethic more than make up for his slight physical restrictions. R Lucifer

R Lucifer was a barn favorite at the track lovingly nicknamed "the Devil." During his Beyond the Wire evaluation, a number of backstretch workers and the veterinarian's vet tech stopped in to see him, to ask where he was going and to talk about how much they loved and were going to miss him. He had impeccable care during his racing career and is now ready to move on to another job. He developed sesamoiditis at one point and after having time off on a farm for the condition to resolve, it was clear that he was not much interested in life back at the track when he returned to training. R Lucifer is completely sound and has no limitations outside of racing. (Posted June 2018)

The Great Ronaldo

The Great Ronaldo is great! This super sweet and easy to handle guy is 16h+ and 4 years old. He is currently being let down and having time to be a horse. He has been through quite bit having moved around recently etc and could certainly use a wonderful forever home. He will looking for a lower impact second career as he will be having surgery to remove chips in his knee. After that, he will need some time to recover, but based on his personality, we know he would love a job with his special person as a pleasure/ trail horse. Go meet him at Foxie G. D Mannschaft is a 3 year old gelding by...you guessed it...Mineshaft! This good looking guy will have 60-90 days off to let his body recover from the rigors of race training. The veterinarian that evaluated him has given him no hard limitations. He only ran twice and racing was just not his thing, however, your thing might be his thing! How’s Your Sugar

How's Your Sugar is a big, strapping 5 year old gelding with a white blaze. "Sugar" is at least 16.1h and has a great work ethic. As a racehorse, he hit the board 12 out of 27 times winning 5 races. He did bow a tendon and will have time off to rehab, but we believe he is going to excel at almost any discipline with his class and natural athleticism. This special guy was not meant to be a racehorse...he was meant to be someone's pet. Lieutenant Alex is a kind and gentle soul that only ran once. Unfortunately he bowed a tendon. Love and Care is a 16.1h+ guy that could use some love and care himself. He is 5 years old and won 2 races back to back, but his most recent trainer responsibly decided he needed to be retired. He unfortunately has chips in his right knee that two veterinarians have evaluated and both agree he will not benefit from surgery. He is going to have some time off and ultimately participate in the Saratoga WarHorse program assisting veterans in a therapeutic setting. He will remain available for adoption and would only be suitable for very light riding after a few months off. He would be a great companion horse. This sweet gal is an unraced 4 year old. She's a cutie with a big white blaze on her face. She unfortunately sustained an injury in training and is now recovering from surgery in beautiful upstate New York at Akindale Thoroughbred Rescue. This 4 yr old gelding is an absolute sweetheart! He had chips removed from his knee and will be ready to go in a few months. Make It Right is very good looking gelding that has just turned 3 years old. This sweet guy only raced 3 times having run in both Canada and here in Maryland. He recently had surgery for an injury and will need months of recovery time. Luckily, his owner/trainer was quick to get him care as soon as he realized there was an issue which helped minimize permanent damage. Keep this guy on your radar. Celtic Ruler is a kind 4 year old gelding that never won a race..he was just too slow. He is retiring completely sound and is ready to do whatever interests you. Sky Above

Sky Above is an absolutely cool dude. He is very friendly and quirky with a lovely build. His trainer put his arm near Sky's mouth and said, "look...he'll chew on my arm." And he does. He does not bite or hurt, he just likes to be close to the ones he loves. This guy has some old issues in his knee and will be limited to being a pleasure, walk/trot horse, but he definitely has the personality to go with it. Crush Davis

Crush Davis is a sweetheart of a 3 yr. old gelding...he will be 4 soon and stands 16.2h+! He injured both front tendons but his recovery time is complete! He is a good looking guy as you can see and is currently WTC and going over rails on the ground. He is located at Akindale Thoroughbred Rescue's South Carolina location. Turbo Booster is 3 year old gelding that was lightly raced and won one race. He is currently recovering from having chips removed from his knees and will be available in a few months. No limitations are expected outside of racing. This boy is an absolute sweetheart and his picture does not do him justice...he has a pretty solid build and a nice blaze. Another Badge

This absolutely beautiful 4 year old filly is a true fighter. About a year ago, she had an infection that she almost died from. Her caring owner and trainer did everything thing they could to save her. After a lot of veterinary attention and time to recover on a farm, she is now completely healthy and energetic. The infection left some scar tissue in her hock that may be limiting, but the vet feels that riding her may actually be good for her. She was recently being jogged at the track and is sound, but the trainer felt it best to retire her from the demands of racing. Another Badge won a race in Canada and two here in Maryland...she's experienced a lot. We believe her best fit might be as a pleasure horse for an intermediate rider. If you respect tough ladies like Another Badge, and you are an experienced rider, she may be a rewarding partner for you! (Posted in November)

Buzz Lite is a barn favorite! Loved by his exercise riders and grooms alike, this guy just wants to be a pet. He is 4 years old and about 15.3h. "Buzz" will have a few months off before going back to work, and no limitations are anticipated at this time.
