Mo Zone Is a very good looking gelding by Uncle Mo that stands 16h+. This guy is unusually handsome gentleman was being trained as a pony horse but retired when he had an injury to his suspensory ligament. He has been rehabbed from the injury but may has some minor limitations. He is still totally worth looking at because he has so many awesome qualities. (Posted October 2022)

Full Court Press is a good natured, playful guy. He is about 16.1h and is by Dialed In. This fella has had surgery on his knee in in the past and has arthritis in that knee. He may end up needing a lower level job but he was just turned out for a month and half and was sound the entire time. Meet this very good looking gent at TRRAC and see what you can do as a team! No Money Down is a super handsome 16h gelding by Baltimore Bob. He is retiring sound but has a small wound on the back of a hind fetlock from another horse grabbing it in a race. Fix Me A Sandwich is a 2016 gelding that stands 16.1h. He is a kind, kind soul that will need an easy job. He has arthritis in both front fetlocks. Medal of War is a big 16.3h+ gelding by Warrior's Reward. This 2018 gelding bowed a tendon and may have some limitations from it in regards to jumping. He has a great demeanor and is super handsome. Ellie B Dancing is a 2018 filly, kind-natured, 15.2h filly. She had surgery to remove chips from her knees and has had plenty of time off to recover. This sweet, small package should be fine for flatwork and some jumping. She is very cute and this picture does not do her justice. Irish Snow is retiring sound from the barn of a reputable trainer. He is a 2018 gelding that stands about 16h. As you can see, he also has a nice, solid build. The barn foreman also told us he is very nice to handle. Irish Snow will have a little bit of time off to just be a horse, but you can meet this great prospect at the Equine Rescue of Aiken. Salad Days

Salad Days is a sweet girl that is in excellent condition. She only ran twice and it was evident that she was not going to be a racehorse. Her trainer decided to retire to let her go on to do something she likes better. She has no known issues though she has x-rays that show a mild case of kissing spine. She has no symptoms and well known veterinary surgeon Dr. Patty Hogan said she does not need surgery. She doesn't need anything other than her own person and a new job. Golden Moonshine is a beautiful filly by Golden Lad. This picture does not do her any favors but we're sure you can tell what a pretty redhead she is. She had a condylar fracture repaired and should have no hard limitations. In fact the surgeon commented that "she looks like eventer." Meet Micelle is 16.1h+ beauty that retired due to a bowed tendon. She is a 2017 model. She is now located at Akindale Thoroughbred Rescue and will have time to rehab her tendon there. Cracklin Rose is a gorgeous 16h+ 2018 filly by Golden Lad. She never ran and was retired by her responsible trainer because she wasn't showing racing talent and she had some inflammation in her suspensory ligament. She will have two months off and then will be ready to roll without limitation per the vet that evaluated her. In addition to being very pretty, she was also very sensible for her evaluation. Patriotic Punch is a sweet, quiet 2017 filly that stands about 16.1h This gal will be limited due to arthritis but she has the perfect demeanor to be a trail or low level pleasure horse. Bacchanal is a good looking, 2018, 16.1h filly by Seville. The vet suspects she has a stress fracture up high (tibia or pelvis) and is recommending a few months off. She will be re-evaluated for soundness prior to adoption. Once, healed she is going to be an extremely nice prospect. She is located in Aiken and worth the drive. (Posted August 2021)

We think All Bull is going to be something awesome! He had chips out of one knee and the surgeon said he will be unlimited for for his next career. Derek's Boy is an absolute sweetheart that has been through the ringer. This guy is a handsome grey roan and this picture just does not do him justice. He had chips taken out of his knee and also has some chips behind the knee that cannot be removed. He is a 2017 gelding that stands 16.1h and has the best demeanor. He is either going to be very limited in his riding abilities or be a pasture pet. Shuffleboard is a 2017 filly by Great Notion that stands about 16h. This pretty filly had some chips taken out of her left knee and is physically just about ready to go. She has some behavioral issues that are being worked on...mainly, she does not like to be caught in her stall or in the field. The skilled staff at After the Races will be working on that. Boston Cadillac is a 15.2-15.3h miniature Black Beauty. This gal has a nice personality though she is a young former racehorse. Great Again

Great Again is a handsome 15.3h+ solid gelding. He was getting some inflammation in his ankle and his owner and trainer decide to retire him rather than have to continuously inject him. We love when our owners and trainesr put the horse first like they did in this situation! He does have an old repaired condylar fracture which causes no issues. Per the vet that evaluated Great Again, "...he is an excellent candidate for lower impact activities such as fox hunting, horse shows and low level eventing." Twice Served has earned a reputation as a major sweetheart. This 3 year old gal just wants to be your horse. She is by Oxbow and stands 15.1h. She fractured a sesamoid and did some damage to her sesamoid back in January 2021 but has healed well and has a good prognosis for lower level work. Irish Brandi is a 2018 filly that is retiring sound from racing. Standing at 16h, she is a nice size and may even grow. She had one win in her 6 starts and her owner/trainer did not want to drop her down to through the claiming ranks so he is responsibly sending her off to start a new career. Irish Saga is a petite (about 15.1-15.2h), 2018 filly that is retiring sound from racing. Her reputable trainer/owner found that she did not have the talent to be racehorse and was getting a little body sore so he decided to move her on so that she could find a more suitable career. Booyakasha is a lovely 2017, 16h gelding that is ready to move onto a new career. He does have a chip in his right front fetlock, but it should pose no problem per well-known surgeon Dr. Patty Hogan. He will have about 30 days off and will be ready to move on shortly after that. We think he's got a great demeanor and is going to be a good all-around guy for someone. No Name is a 2018 filly that stands about 16h. She is waiting to be adopted so she can relax and have a person and a name of her own. Her registration was never completed though she has a microchip and she obviously never raced. Our gal only has vision in one eye and was not enjoying her time at the track...it made her nervous. She is being let down at the Foxie G Foundation and we are anticipating that she will need and experienced owner/rider. Horses like this often give their owners love back threefold. This impressive athlete comes in a smaller package than you might think and has multiple issues which limit him to being a companion horse only. Gotham News is a 2010, soon-to-be gelding, by Awesome Again. This fine fella is retiring from racing due to a new rule, designed to protect our horses, that doesn't allow horses over the age of 10 to race. He is sound. He is currently a ridgling and is having the procedure done to be gelded. We find that horses that are still racing over the age of 6 are usually pretty cool characters and this guy is no exception. Expect Talk is a beautiful and sweet 2016 mare. She is retiring completely sound, but will be limited to less strenuous activities due to a heart murmur. She has never had any issues in race training but the owner/trainer want to do what's best for her in the long run. An echocardiogram is being done by the vet at After the Races which will yield more information. Fake Muse is a 2017 gelding by Tapizar. He stands about 15.2h and has a lovely Quarter Horse type build. This gentleman is truly gentle and would make a great lower level prospect as he does have arthritis in his knees. We can see him being an amazing trail horse. He's One Wild Dude is all that and a bag of chips! This handsome gelding stands a good 16.2h and is 8 years old. He already has a lot of jumping experience under his belt as he was competing in steeplechase races for a year of his career. Rockinn On Bye

We are not sure Rockinn On Bye will ever be available for adoption but you should hear about him. This 9 year old local celebrity is a Multiple Graded Stakes Placed racehorse. "Rocky," injured himself in his last race and his former trainer, Steve, and groom, Kathy, went to the current trainer and asked if they could have him back to rehab and retire him as he deserved. Steve and Kathy cared for him for a year until he recovered and then retired him through Beyond the Wire to the Foxie G Foundation. "Rocky," does have a permanent home there but if you are a great home looking for a companion horse for another horse, contact them just in case. (Posted October 2020)

Uncle Youdge is a super cool horse! This gentleman sustained a knee fracture in his left knee a few years ago that was repaired but it's not holding up to racing. Unstopabull Belle is a gorgeous 2017 filly by Bullsbay. She stands 16h and was very well behaved for her evaluation. Unfortunately, "Belle," has a current bowed tendon that is healing and an old bow on the other leg that is already healed. Black Stetson is a handsome little tank of a horse. Standing about 15.1h, this 5 year old gelding will be in retraining at the Foxie G Foundation. He will be in their trail training program specifically as he will be limited by chips and arthritis in his knee. A surgeon evaluated him and said surgery will not improve his prognosis but she believes he will be fin for lower level work. Drive at Nite is a handsome guy...this picture obviously doesn't do him justice. He is a 16h, 2012 gelding. This gent is known for having a nice demeanor. Homeofthe Lombardi is an absolute sweetheart. This fellow is about 16.2h and was loved by all his grooms. He had surgery on his left knee and the surgeon noted that though he is going to be limited to being a pleasure/trail horse, "he is super quiet and sweet." Detroit Cowboy is a sweetheart! This 16, 2013 gelding retired with what the vets consider to be a minor sesamoid fracture. He is just about ready to go now after having many months of recovery time. Yep is a super cool guy! The 16h gelding only raced once and is retiring completely sound. He has a bit of a sway back but don't let that stop you. With weight and tack it won't even be noticeable. Zap Cat is an absolute love bug. He's a 7 year old gelding by the Pioneer of the Nile...the same sire as American Pharoah. The 15.2h gelding fractured a sesamoid in the past and is not able to be ridden. He is such sweetheart and just wants to be a buddy. Marvelous Days

Marvelous Days is an all around lovely horse. She was turned on on a farm for awhile prior to chips being taken out of her knee, hence what her caretaker referred to as her "Dad bod." She will get back into beautiful shape once she is back in work. Besides the fact that she is a 16.1h beauty, what does she having going for her? A laid-back sweet nature. What more can you ask for? Pompano

Pompano is a pretty 5 year old mare looking for her human. She has old osselets in the ankle but they are set. Her ankles are not pretty but she will be a fine riding horse. She may not be an upper level prospect but how many of us are? She was a a good girl for her evaluation and has had plenty of time off. Meet her at Akindale Thoroughbred Rescue in NY. Roman Holiday is a lovely lady that just needs a little time off for a sore shin. She stands 15.3h and and is a beautiful dark bay. She should have no limitations upon recovery. Great French Kiss

Great French Kiss is a beautiful 16.1h 3yr. old, filly that is going to be looking for her next person. Unfortunately, she injured a bone in her pastern and will have another 1.5-3.5 months off. After that, she should have no hard limitations but would probably be better suited to lower level work. We know someone will appreciate her get-down-to-business demeanor and her good looks. Cut Time is a sweetheart of a gal. She is 5 years old and measures 15.3-16h and recently had surgery to remove a chip from her ankle. The vet thinks very highly of her and noted on the form, "this horse will make a nice show or pleasure horse after some time off..." Could this be your next amazing partner? Hug On Nolan is an extremely handsome gelding that is retiring due to some inflammation in the upper part of the suspensory. The problem is not serious, should only require minimal time off with no hard limitations anticipated after a few months. He measures 16.1h and is 3 years old. Niffler is a lightly raced , 15.3h, 2016 gelding that is retiring sound. This quiet, sweet guy is a bit pigeon toed and wasn't showing much interest in racing. Uncle Paul is a small, sweet gentleman. He is 3 years old and currently measures about 15h. He was a favorite of everyone that handled him at the track because of his kind, quiet nature...he just wasn't meant to be a racehorse. Make My Saturday is an awesome 9 year old gelding looking for his next job and partner in life. He ran 50 times and unfortunately ended up with an injury. He is currently being turned out. The 16.1h guy has a cool personality, plenty of life experience and a great work ethic. After some more time off for recovery and sometime just to be a horse, he will be ready for adoption. Live Your Life

Looking for an absolute love bug of a horse? Well this is the lady for you! Live Your Life has never run a race and is an in-your-pocket total sweetheart. She bowed a tendon recently that she injured in the past and is now being given time to heal. She missed enough time of training that the owners decided to give up on her racing career and let her find a slightly less stressful job. She is a 2014, 16h mare. As you can see, besides the fact that she has a very kind personality, she is beautiful! We are going to be envious of whomever adopts her. She is located in New York and is worth the travel. Anthem Singer

This gorgeous lady is looking for a home that is as fantastic as she is! Anthem Singer is a gorgeous 2013 mare that has cute white stripe down her pretty face. She stands at least 16.1h. By Tiz Wonderful, the mare ran 39 times and has wear and tear in her knees unfortunately. She is going to need a light duty job as a pleasure or trail horse. This is one of those horses that you can just tell is going to love and really appreciate her adopter and her new life on a farm. Give her a good home and we are sure she'll give you her heart. Bobbyalexsgoldmark

Bobbalexsgoldmark is a super special tall, dark and handsome guy that needs to be someones pet. He is a class act that boasts Fusaichi Pegasus in his pedigree and hit the board in about half of his 11 starts. Unfortunately, "Bobby" injured both of his knees and most likely will not be rideable. If anyone is looking for a kind and majestic companion, this fellow deserves to be the one. He is currently on stall rest at the Foxie G Foundation. (Posted January 2019)

Great Rhythm

Great Rhythm is a 2014 mare who is looking for her next job. Unfortunately, she was not enjoying being a racehorse. That combined with the fact that she has some changes in her front fetlocks, made the owner decide to retire her. She is an absolute sweetheart and does very well being turned out on a farm. Barracuda Wayne is an extremely handsome 2011 gelding standing about 16.1h. This lovely guy had 59 starts and made over $276,000...not too shabby! Unfortunately, he sustained a sesamoid fracture and will have time off to recover. We anticipate him being suitable for light riding and certainly as a companion. Tiz A Deal is a big, beautiful gal standing a good 16.2h. She is 2015 model. After sustaining a crack in her shin, Tiz A Deal has retired from racing. Who Broke the Bank

Who Broke the Bank is a big, handsome fella by Fresian Fire. He is a 2014 model and has a lot to offer. Unfortunately, this gentleman sustained tendon injuries that he is currently recovering from. He may have some minor limitations upon recovery but he should be suitable for most work. He is kind and is deserving, as are all horses, of a great person and a great second career. Aly’s Lion

Aly's Lion is a fantastic 4 year old gelding. He had surgery to remove a chip from his knee and is expected to have no limitations upon recovery. The veterinarian who performed surgery on him said, "someone has to do something with him...event him or something...he'll be perfect!" Aly has a very sweet personality and is 16h plus. Set of J's is a lovely 2011 model gelding. He he is an affable lad and will make a fantastic pleasure/trail horse. This filly is a total sweetheart that is looking for her forever home. She is a fantastic beauty that has a cyst in her ankle that will not benefit from surgery and will keep her from doing any strenuous work. Indy Breeze

Indy Breeze is a pretty warhorse having run 63 times. She is a petite gal with a nice build. Unfortunately, she did sustain a fractured sesamoid. We are not sure about her prognosis for riding. She will be pasture sound and will be re-evaluated in a few more months to see is she will be capable of light riding. Please keep her on your radar. We think she is certainly worth having even if it is just as a pet...the vet made the note on her intake form, "sweet filly, great disposition." We agree. The Great Ronaldo

The Great Ronaldo is great! This super sweet and easy to handle guy is 16h+ and 4 years old. He is currently being let down and having time to be a horse. He has been through quite bit having moved around recently etc and could certainly use a wonderful forever home. He will looking for a lower impact second career as he will be having surgery to remove chips in his knee. After that, he will need some time to recover, but based on his personality, we know he would love a job with his special person as a pleasure/ trail horse. Go meet him at Foxie G. Lieutenant Alex

This special guy was not meant to be a racehorse...he was meant to be someone's pet. Lieutenant Alex is a kind and gentle soul that only ran once. Unfortunately he bowed a tendon. Alex is a solidly built horse standing about 15.2h that loves attention. He will have time off at the lovely Akindale Thoroughbred Rescue in NY and will be available for adoption after he recovers from his injury...he is definitely worth waiting for. (Posted June 2018)

Love and Care

Love and Care is a 16.1h+ guy that could use some love and care himself. He is 5 years old and won 2 races back to back, but his most recent trainer responsibly decided he needed to be retired. He unfortunately has chips in his right knee that two veterinarians have evaluated and both agree he will not benefit from surgery. He is going to have some time off and ultimately participate in the Saratoga WarHorse program assisting veterans in a therapeutic setting. He will remain available for adoption and would only be suitable for very light riding after a few months off. He would be a great companion horse. This 4 yr old gelding is an absolute sweetheart! He had chips removed from his knee and will be ready to go in a few months.
